Iasis Microcurrent Neurofeedback (“Iasis” for short) helps folks who are mentally “stuck” in “flight/fright/freeze” mode get to the “rest and repair” mode, as well as treating many other conditions.
What is it?
Iasis is not counseling. In fact, our clients listen quietly to calming music as they have an Iasis session.
What is a “session”?
An Iasis session starts with the clinician or therapist asking you some basic questions about your symptoms as electrodes are applied to your skin.
Electrodes? Is this going to shock me?
Iasis uses a small amount of electricity (much less electricity than when you talk on a cell phone) for a very short period of time (less than 1 one-thousanth of a second). This is less electricity than your skin can feel or perceive, but it still helps the brain to “re-route” out of habitual feelings or ways of thinking.
How many sessions will I need?
Many people are improving after about 3-4 sessions but need more than 12 sessions to get to the point of enduring sustainability.
How long does a session last?
Your initial evaluation will include a visit with Dr. Robinson, with our brain health team and your initial treatment. This will take about an hour. Afterwards your treatments will last from 30 minutes to an hour.
About Microcurrent Neurofeedback
Microcurrent Neurofeedback (MCN) is a non-invasive, drug-free therapy that helps your brain regulate and reset itself—gently.
MCN works without any conscious effort on your part. It delivers a tiny, imperceptible electrical signal to the brain through sensors placed on the scalp. This micro-stimulation helps interrupt dysfunctional brainwave patterns and encourages the brain to reorganize itself for better performance.
Clients often report feeling calmer, clearer, and more mentally balanced—sometimes after just one to three sessions. The effects are cumulative, with long-term improvements in sleep, mood, focus, energy, and emotional resilience.
Microcurrent Neurofeedback doesn’t “force” your brain to do anything. Instead, it supports the brain’s natural ability to self-correct—helping restore optimal function where it’s been compromised by stress, trauma, or neurological dysfunction.
